How To Measure for a Beaded Necklace
Finding the perfect fit for your furry BFF is easy! Just follow these steps:
Step 1: What You’ll Need
• A soft measuring tape (or a piece of string + ruler)
• Your pet
Step 2: Measuring for a Necklace
1. Measure the widest part of your pet’s head. This is usually right in front of the ears.
2. If your pet’s neck is larger than their head, use the larger measurement to ensure a comfortable fit.
3. Test the fit by gently slipping the measuring tape over your pet’s head and resting it around the neck.
It should sit comfortably—not tight, but not hanging low like a human necklace.
(Please do not measure an old collar. Beaded necklaces are accessories and should have a relaxed fit. They are not flat fabric collars and are not meant to be worn tight.)
How To Measure for a Collar
(Use the same tools from Step 1.)

1. Have your pet sit or stand naturally for the most accurate measurement.
2. Measure around the middle of the neck where the collar sits.
3. The measuring tape should be snug, but not pulled tight — avoid pushing the fur flat.
4. Do not add extra length to this measurement. Collars are meant to fit more snugly than necklaces.
(Again, do not measure an old collar. Beaded collars are shaped differently and require a true neck measurement for a proper fit.)
